Key Points

  • 1. You should know how to find the domain and range of a function. The domain is the set of all allowed input values, and the range is the set of all possible outputs.

  • 2. You should understand that an inverse function reverses the effect of the original function. The graph of \( y = f^{-1}(x) \) is a reflection of the graph of \( y = f(x) \) in the line \( y = x \).

  • 3. You should be able to use your GDC to sketch the shape of graphs, find key features such as axis intercepts, vertices and asymptotes, find intersections of graphs, and solve equations.
